PIMMS Project Final Conference - 30th November 2007
'How to make radical advances for sustainable transport in your city'.

Following the LEPT annual conference 2007, the PIMMS Project final conference will be held at the Headquarters of the Magic Circle, 12 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HD, on the 30th of November 2007

Directions: http://www.magiccirclevenue.co.uk/location/index.htm

PIMMS has focussed on how key decision-makers can be persuaded to make brave decisions, by showing them similar successes elsewhere. We have:

  • successfully tested our techniques for transferring best practice between cities

  • assembled a comprehensive database of good practice evaluated by independent international experts
The PIMMS conference will be of real and practical use to anyone trying to overcome barriers within their organisation. Project-partners will:
  • report on good practice in the various different mobility management domains

  • give examples of successful transfer techniques, which can be used by any municipality anywhere

To register for this conference please email your Name, Organisation and City to:

LEPT Annual Conference 2007 - 29th November 2007
The LEPT 2007 annual conference will take place on Thursday 29th, November at the Headquarters of the Magic Circle, 12 Stephenson Way, London NW1 2HD - just one road from Euston Station.

Directions: http://www.magiccirclevenue.co.uk/location/index.htm

Be amazed as we take you on an enchanting journey of LEPT's activities and project developments over the past year. Guest speakers from the London Boroughs and across Europe will discuss their experiences from European events, including the European Conference On Mobility Management, which took place this year in Lund, and Velo-cities, the largest European conference dedicated to the promotion of cycling.

We will reveal the secrets behind EU-project bidding, focusing on the ambitious CIVITAS-Plus bid, submitted earlier this year by LB Hounslow. There will also be a glimpse into the future, examining the progress of The Green Paper on Urban Transport - to be published at the end of this month - as well as an update on future projects and opportunities for London Boroughs.

LEPT Launch - Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms
With representatives from the London Boroughs along with mobility management professionals from both the UK and Europe attending, The London European Partnership for Transport was officially launched on Friday, 15th of September at the historic Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms in Westminster, London.

The official launch of LEPT in London began with some brief presentations providing information about the Partnership, potential funding sources, EC-funded projects in London and how the boroughs can make the most out of LEPT. Following presentations and Q&A, guests spent the remainder of the evening discussing future opportunities and directions for LEPT in an informal networking setting.

Thanks to all who contributed to the event along with all those able to attend, making the LEPT launch both an informative and enjoyable event for all.
